Film This! Student Summer Program

Film This!

Educators, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, coaches- if you know of any high school students in Southern California that need fun ways to stay active this summer, send them to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley!  Every year we host two separate one-week Film This! workshops which give students the opportunity to create and edit a short documentary film.  Students come from all over Los Angeles and Ventura counties, and beyond, for this fun hands-on collaborative film making experience.

The films are then showcased on our Reagan Digital Student YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/reagandigitalstudent.  In February we have a huge red-carpet film festival and awards ceremony at the Reagan Library.  Students get the opportunity to walk the red carpet, screen their films, win awards, and give acceptance speeches in a showcase in the presence of presenters and guest speakers from the entertainment industry.
